David Askham began cleaning Aga cookers for clients in 2012, when he launched his highly successful Oven Cleaning business in North Down. Having manufacturer training and a passion for the detail involved in cleaning any cast-iron cooker, his reputation quickly grew and word-of-mouth recommendation became the norm.

Cleaning these cast-iron treasures requires a different process and techniques compared to normal oven cleaning. Attention to detail, care and patience are paramount as the clean, if it is done thoroughly, will always be intricate and fiddly.

Soon David was being approved by Retailers to their clients, and by leading cooker engineers who service and maintain these beauties, leading to demand from all over Northern Ireland. 

In 2023 he took the decision to divest of his “conventional” oven cleaning business, and focus on providing restorative cleaning for cast iron cookers anywhere in Northern Ireland.
